Election Day Volunteer Opportunities

POSITION DESCRIPTIONS AND STIPENDS

 

There are plenty of ways to get involved. By volunteering, you provide a valuable community service
and make a priceless contribution to the American electoral process.

·      Polling Place Inspector

The Polling Place Inspector has the responsibility of overseeing the Election Day operations at an assigned polling place. This includes managing and working with poll workers assigned to the polling place, coordination of site access, picking up supplies, setting up equipment, assisting and processing voters, completing the closing procedures, and transporting the results and supplies to a collection center on election night.

Hours: From 6:00 a.m. until supplies and equipment are turned in at the collection center at approximately 10:00 p.m.

Stipend for serving as a Polling Place Inspector: $20.00 for attending training, $10.00 for picking up supplies and $100.00 for serving on Election Day.

·      Polling Place Clerk

The Polling Place Clerk has the responsibility to assist the Inspector in the polling place operations. This includes setting up equipment and supplies, assisting and processing voters, and assisting in the closing procedures. Especially needed are individuals who are bilingual in Chinese, Korean, Spanish or Vietnamese.

Hours: From 6:00 a.m. until all closing procedures are complete at approximately 9:30 p.m.

Stipend for serving as a Polling Place Clerk: $20.00 for attending training, $75.00 for serving on Election Day.

                ·      Election Day Coordinators

Election Day Coordinators play a vital role in Election Day communications, general troubleshooting and polling place supply replenishment. Coordinators are assigned a number of polling places to provide backup support and to monitor Elections Code compliance and procedures.

Hours: From 5:30 a.m. until all assigned polls are closed and coordinator supplies and equipment are turned in at an assigned drop-off site at approximately 10:00 p.m.

Stipend for serving as a Coordinator: $20.00 for attending training, $100.00 for serving on Election Day.

·      Election Day “A” Team

The “A” Team are trained poll workers that report to the Registrar of Voters office election morning to be dispatched to polling places where needed. “A” Team members may be requested to act as the polling place Inspector in case of an emergency.

Hours: From 6:00 a.m. until polling place closing procedures are complete at approximately 9:30 p.m.

Stipend for serving on the “A” Team: $20.00 for attending training, $100.00 for serving on Election Day, plus mileage.

ELECTION NIGHT VOLUNTEER OPORTUNITIES

·      Collection Center Worker (Various Locations)

Under the direction of the Collection Center Supervisor, the Collection Center Worker will perform duties as assigned, which will include traffic control, supply box and equipment movement, communications and information recording. Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds with assistance.

Hours: 7:30 p.m. until all assigned polling places have returned their supplies at approximately 11:30 p.m.

Stipend for serving: $10.00 per hour (6 hours guaranteed).

·      Election Night Tally Center Crewmember (Location: Registrar of Voters office)

Under supervision, Election Night Tally Center Crewmembers will perform various tasks as assigned. Those tasks include unloading supply boxes, sorting election material, handling of equipment, preparation of ballots and processing ballot results. Some positions require lifting up to 70 pounds with assistance.

Hours: 8:00 p.m. until processes are complete at approximately 2:00 a.m.

Stipend for serving: $10.00 per hour (6 hours guaranteed).

Investment/Loan Servicing

  • Loan Servicing Representative – Full-Time (Irvine)

Summary:  Primary duties include verifying thoroughness and accuracy of loan documents, processing payments, maintaining files of delinquent loans, and performing all other job-related projects and duties as assigned. The incumbent will have knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the loan and financial services industry and will rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.  This position works under the immediate supervision of the VP of Operations.

 

Key Qualifications:  A living, vital faith in Jesus Christ; high school diploma and a minimum of two (2) years of college education, or equivalent combination of education and experience; strong oral and written communication skills; a high level of professionalism and customer service skills; excellent organization skills, including ability to manage multiple projects and tasks; sharp attention to detail; strong problem solving skills; proficiency and experience using MS Outlook and related software programs. 

 

Salary:  Pay and level of position is commensurate with experience and qualifications. 

 


 

  • Administrative Clerk – Full-Time (Irvine)

Summary: Primary duties include receiving all incoming calls from the CDF “800” number and redirecting the calls to the appropriate staff member; scanning investment files, accounting files and all other related documents into Onbase digital storage, including verifying documents for completeness prior to scanning; assisting with the distribution of incoming and outgoing mail; and providing general clerical support to the other members of the investment servicing and accounting teams.

 

Key Qualifications:  A living, vital faith in Jesus Christ; high school graduate or equivalent; strong problem solving skills, including developing and/or recognizing creative, appropriate solutions that enhance team services or processes; strong organizational skills; and the ability to manage multiple tasks; ability to work independently and/or as part of a team; excellent interpersonal communication skills; basic computer skills including hands-on experience with MS Word, Excel, etc.

 

Salary:  $12-15/hour. 

 

 

Visioneering Studios (A for-profit architectural and design firm)

 

·         Jr. Architect – Full-Time (Irvine)

Summary:  The Jr. Architect will assist the project manager in preparation of design development and construction drawings, ministry space needs programming and project coordination.  Additional duties include creating layouts, graphic design and visualization for presentation graphics; CAD/Revit drafting, and all other related projects and duties as assigned. 

 

Key Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in architecture, landscape architecture, or urban design from an accredited 4-year institution, or equivalent combination of formal education and experience; minimum 2 years experience within a professional design firm; experience and ability to draw in AutoCAD and Revit software; applied knowledge and experience using Adobe Acrobat and MS Office suite applications; excellent organizational and data management skills; strong communications skills; and a solid attention to detail.  Professional licensure and NCARB certification is preferred.  All candidates who want to be considered must have a passion for client satisfaction and creative, cost-conscious design. 

 

Salary:  Starting annual salary is $45,000. 

 

·         Architect / Designer – Full-Time (Irvine)

Summary:  Reporting to the Project Manager, the successful candidate will work as a member of the design team and is responsible for the daily design or technical development of a project, relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, and performs a variety of job-related projects and tasks. 

 


 

 

Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in architecture, landscape architecture, or urban design from an accredited 4-year institution, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with some formal training required.  Must be highly proficient in the use of Adobe Graphics and MS Office suites, including Word and Excel; hands-on experience and knowledge of AutoCAD and Rivet software programs; and must have a solid attention to detail.  All candidates who want to be considered must have a passion for client satisfaction and creative, cost-conscious design. 

 

Salary:  This position is classified as Level I, II or III, and salary is commensurate with on skills, years of experience, qualifications, certifications and licensures. 

 

·         Project Architect / Manager – Full-Time (Irvine)

Summary:  Reporting directly to the President of Visioneering, this position is responsible for selecting, evaluating and implementing procedures and techniques used on projects; writing reports and specifications; supervising the preparation of architectural plans; reviewing completed plans and estimates; and performing all other job-related projects and duties as assigned. 

 

Key Qualifications:   Bachelor’s degree in architecture, landscape architecture, or urban design from an accredited 4-year institution, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with some formal training required; minimum 10 years experience with minimum 5 years experience within a professional design firm; high level of proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Graphics and MS Office suites; proven track record in a leadership and development role; professional licensure and NCARB certification preferred.  All candidates who wish to be considered must have a passion for client satisfaction and creative, cost-conscious design. 

 

Salary:  $67,000 to $83,500 a year, including bonus potential. 

 

·         Principal Architect – Full-Time (Irvine)

Summary:  Reporting directly to the President of Visioneering, this position is responsible for leading the architectural design process for medium to large scale, multi-phased institutional projects; balancing budgetary constraints, stakeholder input, and architectural excellence throughout the design process; maintaining overall architectural excellence of the firm’s project portfolio; managing architectural programming, schematic design and design development phases of project development; managing multi-disciplinary design consultant teams, and performing all other related projects and duties as assigned. 

 

Key Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in architecture, landscape architecture, or urban design from an accredited 4-year institution, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with some formal training required; minimum of 15 years experience in interior architecture, retail/resort/themed entertainment/institutional design; minimum 5 years experience as a design director, principal designer with top national architecture firm; professional licensure and NCARB certification preferred; proven ability to facilitate public/stakeholder design workshops; proven track record of coaching, developing and motivating team members; high level of proficiency with

 

AutoCAD and Revit software programs; strong management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, delegate and follow-through; high level of proficiency using Adobe Graphics and MS Office suites; and project leadership experience for multi-building campus, resort or institutional project design.  All candidates who wish to be considered must have a passion for client satisfaction and creative, cost-conscious design. 

 

Salary:  $85,000 - $100,000 a year.

 

·         Regional Architect / Designer – Full-Time (Denver, Colorado)

Summary:  Primary duties include performing and participating in the architectural design and documentation process for medium to large scale, multi-phased institutional projects; preparing design documentation of architectural space programming, master planning, schematic design, and design development; providing graphic design and layout for design deliverables; providing computer assisted drafting and freehand presentation techniques; and performing all other related projects and duties as assigned.

 

Key Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in architecture, landscape architecture, or urban design from an accredited 4-year institution or equivalent combination of education and experience, with some formal training required; licensed architect or non-registered graduate with 3-5 years of experience in an architectural firm; highly proficient in the use of Adobe Graphics and MS Office suites, including Word and Excel; hands-on experience and strong knowledge of AutoCAD and Rivet software programs; excellent verbal and written communication skills; and a solid attention to detail.  All candidates who wish to be considered must have a passion for client satisfaction and creative, cost-conscious design. 

 

Salary:  Salary is commensurate with skills, years of experience, qualifications, certifications and licensures.

 

  • Senior Architect – Full-Time (Denver, Colorado)

Summary:  Architect or non-registered graduate with more than 10 years of experience with a design or technical focus, responsible for significant project activities.  Duties include performing and participating in the architectural design and documentation process for medium to large scale, multi-phased institutional projects; balancing budgetary constraints, stakeholder input and architectural excellence throughout the design process; oversees the design development, construction documentation and construction administration phases of project development; and performing all other related projects and duties as assigned.

 


 

 

·         Key Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in architecture, landscape architecture, or urban design from an accredited 4-year institution; architectural license or non-registered graduate with more than 10 years of experience; minimum 5 years experience within a professional design firm; high level of proficiency using AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Graphics MS Office suites’ project leadership experience for multi-building campus, resort or institutional project design.  All candidates who wish to be considered must have a passionate about client satisfaction and creative, cost-conscious design

 

Salary:    $56,500 to $72,400 a year.
